Jamestown and Zombies Ho!

Jamestown ZombiesThis article, from BoingBoing, conflates the 400th anniversary of Jamestown with the whole Zombie trope. And all of a sudden the plot bunnies are breeding, and I find myself wanting to write a scenario about early colonists dealing with a zombie infestation in the New World.

To quote:
those pilgrims were starving to death, and living in absolute horror. It got so bad, some were reduced to subsisting off old shoes, rotting corpses, pools of blood left behind by the sick and dying, the salted flesh of murdered spouses, and -- BRAIINNNNNSSSSSS! The story of Jamestown and Pocohontas and Thanksgiving was not so much a Disney movie, explains radio producer Nate DiMeo in the voiceover -- it was more like a Wes Craven movie.

Oh, yeah... but what system? Chill could certainly handle it, or maybe the upcoming Witchhunter: The Invisible World or Colonial Gothic. Hrm....

Be afraid, be very afraid...

Witch Hunter: Dark Providence
If you can get yourself to 1689.... that's where we'll be! I think that's the year-point for the book as well.

I think that is a very cool concept for a module. I hope you do it in witchhunter. I plan on trying that out.

It's lookin' like Colonial Gothic for this one. It spawned 3 more plot bunnies before I nailed its little carcass down, though, so there's plenty of evil ideas to go around. Now... to get my hands on Witchhunter...

from Kearney
Hello, again...tis Mike Callahan

So, I am signing a contract with OWC to produce 35,000 words (at .01 a word) for the SAVE background. Cool enough if there's actual follow-through.

About using your guy: contracts mean sending rights over to them, and i don't wanna mess your 'ownership' up at all. So until i hear otherwise, i haven't used the name or character at all....if i do: that name and description is theirs....

I ahve been trying to track down some of the Pacesetter / Mayfair authors (Gali Sanchez, Mark Acres, Michael Williams, Garry Spiegle) to see if they wann fill in some holes (for example did Michael o'boylan ever marry Lise Rochateau???)
They are NOWHERE!!! Not even Jim Holloway (artist) can be found!

Man, it was a while ago....

Traced some of the Mayfair crew (like yourself) out to another company (a game distributor named Western or some such) but that folded in the early 90s. Then Nothing: Can't even find Faith Price...

Are we just dying off here or what?

Anywho...you can Email me at mscjec@comcast.net

Mike ('Des')

Re: from Kearney
That's really too bad, that everyone has disappeared. I don't mind signing over rights to Alister - he's had his day, so to speak. :)

People have probably gone on to jobs that pay actual money.
